College Now

My Future. My Choice.

College Now offers all eligible Lenawee County students attending LISD TECH Center programs the opportunity to begin meeting the academic demands of post-secondary education. College Now provides increased dual enrollment opportunities for LISD TECH Center students at no cost to the enrolled student or local district. Students may only enroll in college classes that are required to obtain a postsecondary degree in their CTE pathway.

The College Now Advantage

Students who participate in dual enrollment are more likely to:

  • pursue a bachelor's degree
  • have higher first semester college grades
  • earn more credits during their first 3.5 years of postsecondary education

Program Requirements

  • All parents and students must attend one of the tentatively scheduled Parent Information Meetings:
    • June (Fall term)
    • November (Winter term)
  • All students must:
    • Be enrolled in a LISD TECH Center CTE program
    • Meet qualifying SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, ACT, PLAN, or ACCUPLACER or Compass scores (Please submit scores to College Now Advisor for review)
  • All students must:
    • Fill out, sign, and turn in a Student Enrollment Agreement, FERPA form, dual-enrollment form (from appropriate institution)
    • Attend any college orientation meeting required by the institution
    • Attend a college advisory appointment every semester
    • Be in good academic standing and maintain a 2.0 or higher GPA in college coursework
  • All college courses must directly apply to the student's Educational Development Plan (EDP) and Career Pathway

Note: Developmental college courses are not eligible for funding.
